Focus Ireland

Cpl has identified the charity, Focus Ireland as its Charity of the year for 2010. Focus Ireland first opened its doors in 1985, with a firm vision that “everyone has a right to a place they call home”. They respond to the needs of people out-of-home and those at risk of becoming homeless, through a range of appropriate high quality services, provide emergency transitional and long-term accommodation for people out-of-home and campaign and lobby for the rights of people out-of-home and the prevention of homelessness.

Cpl’s involvement with Focus includes fundraising, corporate volunteering and raising awareness of the charity. To date we have run, raffles, table quizzes, casual days and have given our time to volunteer to advance the work of Focus Ireland including recently sending a team of Cpl consultants to paint one of their hostels for homeless teenagers. A number of Cpl teams will also take part in Focus Irelands Four Peaks Challenge this June climbing the highest peak in each of the four provinces over a weekend.
